Pokémon ex are stronger versions of Pokémon, with better stats and attacks, extremely rare to find, hard to catch, and even harder to defeat. If you manage to knock out such a Pokémon ex in a card game, your opponent draws two prize cards instead of one, which speeds up their path to victory.
